See http://musicbrainz.org/artist/30ca43f6-fd7b-4d13-8017-9da6279fa048/aliases - the Σοφοκλής alias isn't returned in http://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/artist?query=sophocles, probably because it matches the artist name. There seems to be no real need to ignore those aliases, though, especially if SEARCH-268 is implemented (since then they'll give useful extra info).
