I downloaded the above build from http://build.oxygene.sk/job/package-picard-osx-daily/

Now when I save some files they get renamed from foo.mp4 to foo(1).mp4. If I save the same file again it goes back to foo.mp4.

On the 1.2 version the file stays as foo.mp4.
