 Description  « Hide

The new view of tags is great, but if a field is blank there is no way to edit it because it doesn't show up. I propose that a small number of fields be always shown, which should basically be the list of fields that were shown in the old interface: title, artist, album, track number

alternatively, an option somewhere to set a list of tags that will always be available.

If a tag isn't visible, you can right click -> "add new tag" to edit it. I think an option to set certain tags as always visible is a good idea.

This has annoyed me a bit too - it makes it harder than before to quickly set some tags for a lookup. Setting as visible the ones that were before is probably good.

With https://github.com/musicbrainz/picard/commit/495affda983a040b99e5123d386af2c88e42dfb0 the common tags will always be visible now (title, artist, album, tracknumber, ~length, date).
