I don't think that's really relevant. It's not about saying when it will definitely close, but about when it's expected to close under normal circumstances. Edits can be cancelled, approved or close due to unanimous votes but that's never stopped us from saying how long an edit has left... The wording can be like edits, where we say "expires" rather than "closes", where it's clear that expiration is not the only way an election can close.

As the election can be cancelled by the proposer at any time, the close time is not actually known in advance.
