If you're logged in as a user with no collections and you click on the "My Collections" entry in the menu, it will say "yourusername has no public collections." That implies that there might be private collections that it's not showing you, but since this your own account, that's misleading. There are simply no collections at all. It's also a bit weird IMO that it talks about you in third person.
