Advanced Search Syntax Link missing from Search

Created: 16/Apr/12 09:52 PM   Updated: 17/Apr/12 10:16 AM   Resolved: 17/Apr/12 10:16 AM
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: Bug fixes, 2012-04-23

 Description  « Hide

The recent update removed the display of available syntax to perform an advanced search.
The "Search method:" list has no explanation or link to what an "Advanced search" can do.
Preferred outcome would be the ability to display the available syntax as before.
"(o) Advanced search (syntax)" with 'syntax' or more descriptive wording to display?

Creating an error to display the link isn't very convenient.

Not sure this comment is ticket worthy. Could the text "Search indexes are updated every 3 hours" be changed, It's definitely not every 3 hours unless an update is going to fix that.

Yes, I don't know why this has been removed, changed type to a bug as Ive not seen anything to indicate this change was done deliberately and could therefore be a regression.
