 Description  « Hide

The Languages/Scripts statistics page contains many unused scripts and languages, many of them can't even be selected in the release editor. Since they clutter the page, they should be removed.

Hmmm, I'd argue the ones that can be selected are useful to have there (if only so a native speaker goes like "whaaaat! I'll fix that!"). The others I guess we can get rid of.

I fail to see how they can be useful... there is nothing to be "fixed" if the language isn't used at all. What should a native Lezghian speaker do if he sees Lezghian: 0. "whaaaat! I'll fix that!" and go through all 995,056 releases to see if one is in Lezghian ?

EDIT: Ah, you think he sees Lezghian: 0 and says: "Oh, I have a CD that is Lezghian, I will search it in MB or put it in so that my language is not at 0". But I think this is fairly unrealistic... also, the page is so cluttered (huge) that it makes it even more difficult for such a thing to happen...

I agree with hrglgrmpf.
Rather saying "It's 0, there's something to fix", you can just says, "it's not displayed, this means there's no releases in this language, and there's something to fix".
