I noticed this, too... I thought the track times come from the recordings, which shouldn't be. Recording times should not automatically get transfered to the tracklist. This may be related to This was explicitly requested in I will start a thread on the musicbrainz-users list and also attend the next dev meeting. I'm sorry that I didn't notice I have multiple albums in my TODO collection that need to be fixed (errors in tracklists), but I can't do it because that would add track timings that I haven't verified. In my opinion durations should only automatically float in this direction: It is also not at all a bad thing to have vinyl singles without track timings set. I would consider it quite normal for vinyl releases. Kuno, I actually don't think this conflicts with what Paul wanted. We could have a way of sourcing the track times from recordings; it just shouldn't do it without asking and as part of a different edit by an editor who isn't trying to do that. It was decided in the dev meeting to add a checkbox. I see how difficult it is to create a patch, if it turns out too much work for me, I'll assign it to warp! A quickly wrote a patch, see http://codereview.musicbrainz.org/r/1617/ |

I can confirm that this bug is triggered when the tracklist has no length for a track, but the linked recording has one.
I'll move my previous comment to a separate ticket.
