Example edit: http://musicbrainz.org/edit/14962847 When removing tracks from a release, every artist/artist credit listed after the first removed track are erroneous listed as changed. Consider the included edit; There are no artist nor artist credit changes, yet after the first track is removed (track 26), the new track 26 lists it's artist credit as having changed. Notice how there is 1 artist offset on tracks 26-33, then 2 on 34-41, then 3 on 42-65, and 4 spots offset on 66-71. None of this information had changed in the edit, it is being erroneously displayed due to the removed tracks.
