 Description  « Hide

Some artists have participated in a large number of collaborations, or have been credited as a feat. artist in a large number of releases or recordings - such that their pages are nearly overrun with them.

It would be nice to have an option that limits the display to show releases / release groups / recordings, etc. where the artist in question is the /only/ artist linked to the artist credit.

This serves a similar purpose to the current 'various artists'-excluding display, but is even more restrictive.

(One downside that I can think of is that it will not show entities with a credit "X feat. Y" on X's page: I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or not.)

It could probably made to handle feat. such that entities are only not displayed if the entry for the artist comes after the join term 'feat.'. I'm not familiar with how this is implemented in the server, but it doesn't sound too difficult in theory if the artist credit is already being parsed to find the artist in the first place.

I'd prefer it if the meaning of the join phrases in artist credits wasn't overloaded like that... plus, you run into issues with translated credits, things that say 'feat' but are really collaborations, etc... I'd rather it would be kept simple instead of having a list of workaround artist credit join phrases to allow.

That would have been a good point to bring up during the discussion.

I also don't think the meaning of the join phrases should be interpreted too heavily. The line between "with", "feat." "&" is just too blurred for me.
