Would be extremely handy when editing typographically correct punctuation (' etc) into artist names.
Currently a workaround would be creating a new artist with (typographically) correct name, and then merging into it — merging has the option to "Update artist credits to use the new artists name". I'm not sure how that interacts with conflicting artist credits, though.

I think this is very important, the hack with merging into a newly created artist is ugly and changes the "official" MBID for the artist. I think this is bad for the BBC, because it changes their URLs.

My idea here is that once MBS-3494 is finished, the "Edit Artist" page will offer you to rename artist credits linked to this artist. You can select which ones you want to rename and it will submit separate "Edit Artist Credit" edits.
