It would be nice when altering a mistake in the name of a recording, even something simple like a capitalisation change, to have an option that automatically applies that new name to every track associated with the recording. In a similar fashion to how when merging artists we have an option to "rename artist credits", we could have an option to "rename associated track titles". For example, here is a case where the recording has had the capitalisation changed, but not the tracks (due to the tedious nature of this process, made worse by MBS-1998):

I mentioned this in MBS-2351 but keep coming across this problem, so thought it worthy of its own ticket to at least remind me that I've submitted the issue.
The same thing applies in reverse: when changing the track title, it would be nice to have an option to have the same change applied to the recording name. I work in this direction because, when I'm fixing a mis-entered Release, it's convenient to use the Release Editor and its Advanced Tracklist view (see http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/How_to_Use_the_Release_Editor
) which lets me see multiple track titles together, and copy and paste between them. For Classical and Opera tracks, the first part of the track or recording title is often shared.
As a rule of thumb, if a recording is used on exactly one track, then as a default the names of recording and track should stay in sync. A change to the name of either the track or the recording should be applied to the name of the other.
