When you import a release from free db, then delete the artist from all individual tracks in advanced track view and uncheck the "artist" column, it should default to the album artist. However, when you click on "next", it does not save this and reverts back to the freedb artist on each track.

This also happens when you try to modify the artist in the manual "raw" edit view.
