It's happening to me, but it's more like 4-6 hours. I'm using FFX 4.0.1. Also to me on Safari 5 Mac. I'm not sure if its expiring with the session or time but when I access musicbrainz each day I have to login again. It definitely seems longer than the raw session time since the cookie for that is only two hours; but not really sure. Given that sessions are now stored in memcached, I wonder if they are just not being deleted. I observe the same problem. After few hours of inactivity (approx. 5) I am not logged in anymore. I use Firefox 4.0.1 on Windows Vista Business, SP2, 32 bit. I use IE 8 at work (not by choice) and it kept me logged in over the weekend. I'm logged out in less than 5 hours (2, perhaps) of inactivity, with "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110503 Gentoo Firefox/3.6.17 Glue/4.5". I deleted the MB cookies yesterday and I do not have been logged out yet (Firefox 4.01). Seems to be a good way to fix the bug. I deleted cookies named "remember_login" for musicbrainz.org. There were two such cookies! Now I am still logged in more than 10 hours later. I am using Firefox 4.0.1. Thanks for the tip! I noticed that (prior to clearing my cookies) I had two "remember_login" cookies as well. The difference was that one was for ".musicbrainz.org" - the other was "musicbrainz.org" (note the leading dot). After clearing the cookies and logging back in, I now only have the "musicbrainz.org" cookie. Everyone I've spoken to has mentioned that clearing cookies has solved this problem. I've also added some code that deletes the cookie, if the server determines it can't use it to automatically login. Do you think this is enough to close the ticket now, Rob? I've closed it for now. If the warning messages in the error log keep appearing, I'll re-open this bug to take care of those. |
