2. Go to recordings and "Click Edit to edit the recording associations for this disc." for disc 1
3. Try changing the recording for track 1, 夜曲
4. Click the magnifying glass to do an inline search
5. Nothing is found

Switching to direct search does work, but why doesn't the indexed one "just work"?

A normal indexed search finds plenty of recordings: http://musicbrainz.org/search?query=%E5%A4%9C%E6%9B%B2&type=recording This includes two recordings by the correct artist, so I can't see what's wrong.

May be related to ~~MBS-2143~~ - both seem to be search issues specific to the release editor.

fixed in master, commit dd0f42831e6d52e657e90c35618ce505f0de5b5e
