Right now there's no way to apply a cc license where the album in question is not currently available for download. This can happen where an album was once available for download, but has been taken down (either intentionally or otherwise).

nikki suggested: "maybe we could link to the license the stuff is available under and separately as where the stuff is downloadable from, so you'd have "release1 is licensed under the cc license at [insert url to relevant license]" and "release1 is available for download at [insert url to download]" instead of the current "release1 is available under the cc license [select from dropdown] at [url]"?"

This seems like the best solution to me, especially as it would also solve the problem of specifying the version of the cc license, which the current AR cannot do.
